As we navigate new business guidelines, we felt compelled to revisit the first three months of the pandemic in the US. It is estimated that small business revenues were down 40% overall, and 40% of small businesses closed. Some may not ever reopen. Others have made clever pivots to service their devoted customers in innovative ways.
During these uncertain times, the two things we are certain of is 1) our resilience and 2) the humbling outpour of love and support from our community. Businesses like ours play a small yet critical role in providing economic support and contributing to the social fabric of our society.
